To activate your new Colonial Check Card, simply call the Colonial Connection at (877) 502-2265 and select the appropriate options. Your card can be used immediately for transactions not requiring a Personal Identification Number (PIN).  

Your PIN will arrive a few days after you activate your Colonial Check Card. You may select your own PIN by visiting the nearest Colonial Bank office. A personal banker will be happy to assist you. If you choose to select your PIN at one of these offices, the PIN you receive in the mail will not be valid.

You will need a PIN to use the card at ATMs and at some points of purchase. For your safety, memorize your PIN, store it in a safe place and never reveal it to anyone.
